BLT Dip: How to Make BLT Dip

Attention all BLT fans: this dip gives the same flavor as the sandwich without all of the heaviness. Enjoy its versatility as a dip or as a salad dressing, and this BLT dip recipe will become your new favorite. When you're looking for the perfect companion for your spread of chips and veggies, nothing brings everyone together like our BLT Dip. Put out a bowl and watch it disappear before your very eyes.

What You'll Need:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
What To Do:
  1. Combine mayonnaise and sour cream in a medium bowl, stirring well with a wire whisk.
     
  2. Stir in bacon and tomatoes. Serve immediately with melba toast rounds.
Notes
  • If you're a BLT fan, you'll love this versatile dip... it includes everything but the lettuce! For a spicier version, use salsa in place of the tomatoes. For a lighter version, use nonfat mayonnaise, fat-free sour cream, and turkey bacon. You'll even enjoy it over lettuce as a chunky salad dressing.

sounds good. what do you suggest for dippers!

First time I made this I used real tomatoes and bacon. The next time I needed it fast so I substituted real bacon bits and salsa and got rave comments from family and friends. So now when we have a party or invited to one - everyone asks if I am bringing "my dip".

Sounds yummy but....this was advertised as a "no cook" appetizer. So how did the pound of bacon get "cooked and crumbled"? Perhaps a better option would be to use the bags of real bacon by Hormel, all cooked and crumbled for you. THEN it would be a no-cook treat.

I have had this dip with cut up pieces of white bread toast. This is one of favorite dips my sister-in-law brings. I always keep the leftovers.

This is a favorite of ours but i use 6 slices of bacon and toss in a cup of cheddar chees and some green onions! Yummy
