When the report card comes home, we're gonna want to make a little something special to reward the kids for all their hard work! They sure deserve it!

What You'll Need:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (see Note)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup mini M&Ms
What To Do:
  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Coat an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, peanut butter, egg, and vanilla. Add the M&Ms and mix well.
  3. Press evenly into the baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool then cut into bars and serve.

If you really like peanuty flavor, use crunchy peanut butter and you'll have your own combination of peanuts and chocolate.

Is there any down side to making a double batch of these and putting them in a 9 x 13 pan? I realize the cooking time will change but other than that?

Love chocolate and peanut butter! Going to go make these right now. I don't have any mini M&Ms, but I do have dark chocolate chips. See no reason why they shouldn't work.

no flour?

This is not a mistake, there is no flour in this recipe. Some peanut butter cookie recipes are the same. Makes it very simple, enjoy! Thank you for your question!

You folks won't give up on insisting there needs to be flour in every version of this recipe that is listed, will you????? This is not a new recipe and has been around forever. It is known as a gluten free recipe as some people cannot have the flour. Try it, don't deny yourselves. It is very, very simple, easy to make and delicious. The trick is to leave them on the cookie sheet until they are completely cooled or they fall apart when you make them as cookies instead of bar cookies.
