What You'll Need:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar (28-ounce) spaghetti sauce
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
What To Do:
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, water, parsley, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.

  2. Form the mixture into 15 meatballs, and place in a microwave-safe 9- x 13-inch baking dish.

  3. In a medium bowl, combine the spaghetti sauce and Parmesan cheese; pour over the meatballs.

  4. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave at 70% power 12 minutes, or until the meatballs are completely cooked through.

  5. Remove the plastic wrap and sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese, if desired. Microwave at 70% power an additional 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Sorry about the typo. It should be made, not make.

The recipe sounds great, however I haven't make it yet because my 9x13 pan is too big for my microwave. Any tips?

Hi there! If a 9- x 13-inch pan is too large, you can try making the recipe in two batches in 8- x 8-inch pans. Keep the first batch covered while the second batch cooks up. Enjoy!

Grate meatballs. If ewe want turkey balls than google turkey balls. Don't bee ah homophone.

Why are you all telling people what to do and not to do with this recipe? Growing up we HAD to change recipes cause we didn't have some of the ingredients..... PS this can be changed to an oven or slow cooker recipe.

A recipe is just that and not for everyone. just leave it as is on move on

Boy or you missing it!! I fix everything I can in the microwave. In the summer I don't have to heat up the house. It saves energy and time. Maybe you shoul try it sometine

Why the sassy comment? Did I miss where it said this was to make in summer?? And if someone does not have a microwave, then what?

microwaved????? NEVER

I agree Lala...

I would lighten up the recipe by using ground turkey, reduced fat mozzarella cheese, and no salt added, low sugar tomato sauce.

Another one wanting to change the recipe!! Try as is or move on!

You're on the wrong website. This is not a lowfat recipe site. If that is what kind of recipe you are looking for, go elsewhere instead of changing the recipes here!

I agree, I love converting recipes to suit my health needs, plus that's all a recipe is, it's a guideline to help you learn how to cook!
