Can this recipe be made with a cheaper cut of roast pork, using mainly the same? ingredients

If you're looking for an alternative to the bottom round, we suggest using a pork butt. Hope that helps!

Is there something I can use instead of the wine?

Hello! You can substitute the wine with beef broth or just increase the amount of water to replace the wine. Enjoy!

Can this be made in a Crock Pot?

Yes, it should take approximately 7 to 8 hours on LOW or 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours on HIGH, or until fork-tender.
