Quick Rolls

Our homemade Quick Rolls are a cinch. They need no rolling and no proofing but they still give you bragging rights for scratch baking without the hard work.

What You'll Need:
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk (see Note)
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together all ingredients to form a soft dough. Spoon into a sprayed 12-cup muffin pan, distributing evenly.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, until rolls are golden.

Be sure to use whole milk only, not a reduced-fat milk.

Are these quick rolls like a biscuit in texture?

Not sure how you are supposed to 'sift' milk and mayo???

sift flour & sugar into milk & mayo mixture.

It says 'stir' not 'sift'....)

why can't 2% milk be used???

Not enough fat
