This super-simple candy is a favorite at bake sales and holiday gatherings. A white chocolate and peanut butter mixture is swirled with rich, dark chocolate, making tiger-like stripes. Watch out! Everyone'll be on the hunt for more!

What You'll Need:
  • 16 (1-ounce) white chocolate baking squares, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
What To Do:
  1. Combine white chocolate and peanut butter in a microwave-safe 2-quart bowl. Microwave at HIGH 2-1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring twice. Pour into a wax paper-lined 10- x 15-inch rimmed baking sheet, spreading evenly.

  2. Microwave chocolate chips in a microwave-safe 2-quart bowl at HIGH 2-1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring twice. Pour over white chocolate mixture; swirl gently with a knife. Chill until firm. Break into pieces. Store candy in an airtight container in refrigerator.

This is a favorite at our family reunion, church or anywhere I take it. Simple and quick!!!!!!! is my favorite kind of recipes.

My family loves this and so do I Excellent recipe , easy to make and tastes oohhh so good ! Thank you

Haven't made this yet.

I love baking and cooking and I do have to say I am a creative person. This site has a lot of old time goodies that I just adore and am so happy to have recipes for. It is so fun to add new twist on old things and sometimes it is ok to leave things the way they are. Thanks for the great site and all the yummy things!! I can't wait to print off pages and add to my collection. I always make recp. different to make them mine or I let people know where they came from Orig.

I'd like to comment on a previous comment. If you don't like chocolate and you don't like peanut butter-make something else! But don't change all the basic ingredients and then complain that it does't taste right!

This look so good but I'm not a chocolate and peanut butter person. Can you use caramels in place of the peanut butter? Madelyn

****This is one of my favorite recipes to make and give as a gift at Christmas. It is easy, fast and everyone seems to like it. I use crunchy peanut butter.

I have been making this recipe for years, but always used white chocolate chips instead of baking squares.

I don't have a microwave. Can the white chocolate baking squares & the chocolate chips be melted another way?

You can use a double boiler, if you don't have one of those put a pan with water in it and get a bowl that will sit on top of the pan, boil the water, make sure the water doesn't touch the bottom of the bowl, it will give you the same affect.

My son loves this, it's his favorite. So easy to make, to make my son happy.

I am going to try switching the amounts of the white and milk chocolate

Adding your favorite nuts would be great or use nuts, coconut as a topper before hardening. I guess the possibilities could be neverending!

Can I use white chocolate chips in place of white chocolate baking squares for the Tiger Butter. If so, how much of the chips for the 16 - 1 oz. whie chocolate baking squares as per the recipe. I cannot find white chocolate baking squares anywhere in my area. Thank you.

Hey varussiangirl, abou, the white chocolate baking squares, I would try 16 ounces for 16 -1oz. Right??? Ha Ha!!!!!

novel and extra tasty

Sounds terrific! Great for holiday treat

can you please start putting nutritional values with your recipes??????

It looks fantastic.

every item used in this recipe has nutritional values on each package. sure hope this helps

I made this recipe , but it came out mostly chocolate . I wanted the tiger effect . Any suggestions ? It was very good !

These were good! I made a 1/4 recipe since there is only two of us & it turned out great. I made it stovetop since I didn't know how a small amount woul do in the microwave.

When using the microwave for melting small amounts of chocolate, I usually go in 20 second increments, checking and stirring each time. This way, the chocolate doesn't have a chance to scortch.

I don't dare make this often because I can eat it all myself! The only "change" I make in this recipe is using crunchy peanut butter (store brand has bigger chunks of peanuts). And, as Mr Food says "OOH IT'S SO GOOD!"

I love this recipe.

I can't wait to try this recipe. Will be so good for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Wow!! Mr. Food you outdid yourself on this one. Thanks.

This recipe sounds so good. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing.

boy this stuff is really good it tast like a penut butter cup its easy and fast and with in a half hour we were breaking that puppy up

Thank you so so much for posting this recipe. I made this candy several years ago and everyone dearly loved it. I lost the recipe and couldn't remember the name of it. Now i will be busy making it again. My family and I will always greatful that the lost has been found. Thank you again very very much.

I've been making this candy for years. You should make sure your bowl is room temperature or slightly warm or your chocolate won't melt and if you use this many chips you won't be able to taste anything but the chocolate. I use about 3 or 4 ounces.

My son (only child/36 tolday 4/4 has always called me Tiger Mama'....he's 36 2day: 4/4
