COOK TIME

We let the supermarket freezer section help us out with this full-flavored casserole that goes together in a snap.

What You'll Need:
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 2 (12 ounce each) cans chicken gravy
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen potato pierogis, thawed
  • 1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (2.8 ounce) can French-fried onions
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a 9- x 13-inch baking dish, combine all ingredients except French-fried onions; stir gently until well combined. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 50 minutes. Remove from oven, uncover, and top with French-fried onions. Bake an additional 5 minutes, uncovered, or until onions are golden brown.

might even try to change it up with Cheese Ravioli

try sweetpatota pier0gi

So easy to make and so easy to eat! It's a North meets South Chicken and dumplin's comfort food.

This is a great and easy recipe. Grandson loved it and said it is a keeper.

Try this. Its easy and very. It's called Poormans Pierogi. 1 pkg medium noodles (cooked), or try Kluski noodles, 1 jar saukerkraut, (drained and rinsed) 2 medium onions, real bacon bits, mushrooms, minced garlic, caraway seeds. Cook noodles, set aside, saute onions, sliced mushrooms in butter. Add sauerkraut to mixture. If you saute the sauerkraut with onions, garlic and mushrooms, its more flavorful, add noodles. Season to taste. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. ENJOY! P.S. you don't need an "S" when saying/spelling pierogi, this is already plural.

I love sauerkraut filled pierogi but can't find them in the supermarket. I can't wait to try this. Sounds yummy!

I seem to have an issue with the chicken not cooking. When I take the dish out of the oven the chicken still looks raw. Have cooked it for longer but still not looking right. Should the chicken be cooked before putting in the oven?

Is your chicken cut up into 1/4" strips? hard to believe such tiny pieces of chicken wouldn't cook in almost an hour. Maybe your oven isn't heating properly.

I like Chicken and cheese Pierogies and can't cook a lick. So I just buy mine at http://Pierogies.us they are the best!

I copy & pasted the URL you suggested and it states that the website has been suspended :(

We mix the gravy in te pan first. Then added the chicken & veggies. Then the Pierogi's & pushed them down. It worked!

I might be inclined to mix it all up in a large bowl and then just pour it into the casserole dish.
