Quick Chicken Francaise

You don't have to get all dressed up to enjoy this restaurant-style dinner. Nope, you can make our Quick Chicken Francaise in your very own home! This simple chicken dinner may sound fancy, but you won't believe how easy it is to throw together. 

What You'll Need:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 (9-ounce) package frozen fully cooked breaded chicken breast fillets, thawed
  • 2/3 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
What To Do:
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté 2 to 3 minutes; remove to a bowl. Add chicken to the skillet and cook 3 to 4 minutes per side, or until crisp.
  2. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Stir into skillet and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until sauce has thickened. Return mushrooms to skillet and heat 2 to 3 more minutes. Serve immediately.
Serving Tip

I grew up with this New Orleans it's called Chicken Fricasse and served over rice! Mondays were always Red Beans and Rice. Can't remember what day chicken Fricasse was but it was a great meal.

can you substitute broth for the wine?

you could, but it could also change the taste.
