What could taste better on a lazy, hot afternoon?!

Serves: 12

Cooking Time: 12 min

What You'll Need:
  • 12 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 7 tea bags
  • 8 cups ice cubes
What To Do:
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and tea bags and bring to a boil over high heat; allow to boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Remove and discard the tea bags. Transfer to a one-gallon container and add the ice, stirring to cool the mixture.

  3. Serve immediately in individual glasses over additional ice, or chill until ready to serve. Makes about 1 gallon.
Notes

The best container to use for making iced tea is one of those gallon containers with the spout at the bottom for serving it. You might like to do what I do and squeeze a wedge of lemon, lime, or orange into each serving right before serving.
