I know, fresh or frozen is best, but can one use canned salad shrimp? I think it might be just as simple to do so.

You can definitely use canned shrimp to make this salad. :) Enjoy!

Am from Gulfport, MS or I was until my brain aneurysm. I love FRESH shrimp, not frozen little ones. sILVER bELLE

We don't all live a stone's throw from a shrimp boat's dock. "Fresh" shrimp means pricey air freight for a lot of people, and frozen shrimp's costly enough.
