Our Salmon Patties are a lighter option to serve at all of your outdoor get-togethers. Top them with your favorite veggies and pair them with some fries for an unforgettably delicious meal!

What You'll Need:
  • 2 (15.5-ounce) cans red salmon, drained and flaked (skin and bones discarded)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
What To Do:
  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except oil; mix well and form into 6 equal-sized patties.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking. Cook patties in batches for 1 to 2 minutes per side, or until golden. Drain on a paper towel-lined platter. Serve immediately.

Serving Suggestion
  • Here's an easy dill sauce to serve with these patties: In a small bowl, combine 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon dried dill weed. Mix well and chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Delicious! The baking powder truly makes for a light, puffy salmon patty. I incorporated some dried chives and parsley into the mixture and it was wonderful. I served them with a nice remoulade sauce and will be making them again.

I love Salmon patties. This recipe is close to what I make with the exceptions that I add a little dried onion flakes and some dill weed. Excellent with Rice Pilaf and a side of green peas. The dill sauce sounds great....I will try that next time.

it was very good & easy to make. my family loved it

Haven't tried it yet but it sounds good.

sounds really good.

sounds so good to me!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite "health" foods. I've never used flour and baking powder, just cracker or bread crumbs or oatmeal. I add diced onion and red bell pepper...and up the seasoning a bit (because I'm not a fish lover) with a little dry mustard, Worchestershire, garlic powder and Old Bay seasoning. Delicious with horseradish sauce too.

There is no good reason to go through the trouble of removing the little bones and skin...they are full of calcium and vitamins. The bones may look whole but they crush into nothing if you pinch them. I've always used pink salmon because I think it has a milder taste. This is a great way to get your 2-3 servings of fish each week, especially if you don't care for fish (I never have.). I make up a batch and freeze half of them for the next week. Spice 'em'll be picking at them for breakfast!

this recipe is great, easy. Plus i like to diced white onion or green onion to taste.
