In a pickle for some fun mealtime conversation? Check out this fact: Here in the U.S., we consume more than 2.5 billion pounds of pickles each year...that's 20 billion pickles! I'd say that makes pickles one of our favorite foods!

Think about it: Is there a deli sandwich that doesn’t come with a crunchy dill pickle alongside it? Or a hot dog that couldn’t use some pickle relish on it for tasty excitement or a potato salad that it can't instantly make taste homemade? Chopped sweet pickles always do the trick.

What was once the way people preserved cucumbers to last through the winter has become a favorite on its own. Whether for their crunch or their flavor punch, we’re eating and enjoying more pickles than ever! And although nothing beats the old-fashioned fresh-from-the-pickle-barrel type, with our markets stocking so many brands, varieties, shapes and sizes in both refrigerated and shelf-stable bottles, we’re never in a pickle for finding the one our gang likes best.

Whether it’s the taste, like the garlicky, the dill or the sweet, or maybe it’s the shape, like spears, chips or even pickles in shapes that stack perfectly on our sandwiches or burgers, it doesn't matter; there’s always crispness in every bite!

And after you pick the last pickle out of the jar, don't toss out the juice. Save it, ‘cause it can be the start of a tangy marinade for some freshly cut cucumbers! Hey, that’s another new batch, which puts a whole new spin on being in a pickle 'cause we relish having them around. Well, we just love the tasty, crunchy..."OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!"
