Viennese Coffee

Put away your fancy schmancy coffeehouse gift card and don't worry about pulling out those over-priced coffee makers, because this international favorite is made in minutes for just pennies.

Serves: 15

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup instant coffee
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup powdered nondairy coffee creamer
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in container of an electric blender; process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides, if necessary.


For each hot serving: Spoon 2 tablespoons mix into an 8-ounce cup; add boiling water. Top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with additional ground cinnamon, if desired.

For each iced serving: Spoon 2 tablespoons coffee blend into 1 cup water in a tall glass; stir in 1/4 cup half-and-half or milk. Add ice.

Garnishing Tip

This looks and tastes great as is, but to make it extra-fancy, serve each with a cinnamon stick stirrer.
