Apple Crisp for Two

(9 Votes)
20 Min

Sometimes, we want to make just enough dessert for only two people, so that we don't have leftovers lying around to eat! This apple crisp is perfect for just that, and you'll love the homemade taste.

What You'll Need:
  • 2 apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons quick-cooking rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a 2-cup microwave-safe baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine apples, 1 teaspoon flour, sugar, and cinnamon; mix well. Spoon into baking dish and cover with wax paper. Microwave on high power 3 to 4 minutes, or until apples are soft.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine remaining flour with oats and brown sugar; mix well. With a fork, blend in butter until crumbly; sprinkle mixture over apples.
  4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly. Serve warm.

I need the nutrition information, if anyone can help that would be great!

This sounds delish!! Could this be baked completely in the microwave???

We haven't tested baking this completely in the microwave, so we're not sure how long it would take to get the apples tender. The apples also will not brown in the microwave. If you decide to give it a try, we'd love to hear how it turns out!

does anyone have a recipe for apple crisp without the oatmeal

Hello! Take a look at our recipe for Country Style Apple Crisp and see how you like it ) Here's a link http// == pple-Crisp

quick and easy recipe. My husband and I loved it,

Great a 2 person recipe. The fruit can even be changed with the seasons.

I made this yesterday, my first time making it and i never had apple crisp. My husband loved it (and I'm very please with that!) however, few minor addition more oats is needed.

I have a hard time following these recipes because I don't (and would never) own a microwave. It would help to have both methods in the directions.

Just increase baking time until apples are soft and bubbley. Duh!!!

Either just bake it longer until the apples are soft, or soften the apples FIRST on the stove top, by themselves. The softening in the microwave is just meant to cut down on time. Plenty other ways to soften apples.

I really would love if the recipes should how many calories per serving ....

Why? if it has sugar it is not going to be low in calories, might as well pass on this if your going to watch calories.

There are two easy ways to figure out the calories, and even all the nutrition information. Since this is only two servings, just look at the packages of the ingredients you're using for the calories for the amount your using, and the things that don't have that information (like the apples), google. Add up all the calories and divide by half. Quickest way. The other way, there are a million free websites that let you put in the ingredients for a recipe and then give you all the nutrition information. And if you have the "Lose it!" app, it's even easier, just scan the bar codes on the foods, even apples. Okay, that was three methods. )

This recipe was Delish!!

This can easily de doubled...
