Looking for a tasty new way to use up all the leftover candy you have lying around? Make our Candy Bar Brownie Trifle! This trifle is loaded with some of the most decadent layers ever. It's one of our favorite dessert recipes, and one your whole gang will definitely want to dig into!

What You'll Need:
  • 1 (19.9-ounce) package brownie mix
  • 1 (6-serving-size) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 1/2 cups coarsely chopped assorted candy bars, with 1/2 cup reserved for garnish
  • 1 (16-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
What To Do:
  1. Prepare brownies according to package directions for a 9- x 13-inch baking dish; allow to cool completely.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk until slightly thickened. Whisk in peanut butter until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate 10 minutes.

  3. Break up brownies into 1-inch pieces and place half in bottom of a trifle bowl or large glass serving bowl. Cover with half the pudding mixture, 1-1/2 cups of the candy, and half the whipped topping. Repeat layers and garnish with reserved candy.

  4. Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.

I made this using Reese's peanut butter cups and peanut butter chips. It was so good and didn't last long one my family got a taste of it. Will definitely make again; maybe for Christmas.

Can you make this without the peanut butter, if so what do you do to replace it

Yes, you can make this without the peanut butter. You do not need to replace the ingredient. You can either use vanilla pudding or even try chocolate pudding. Thank you for your question!

I'm sure you can use any other nut butter, or Sneaky Chef's No Nut Butter

My daughter made this(except she used Reese's miniature peanut butter cups. She found the recipe on Facebook). She made for my hubby's 75th birthday party. It is so delicious. It was a great hit.

There is so many different ways to make Trifes, with so many different kinds of layers, this one really sounds delicious and it is a bit different than some I have made. I will make this one the next time that I need a dish to take when we are invited to a covered dish.

This looks devine... trying it this weekend and shareing with my daughters....

So easy to make. I made this for an open house and it was a hit with EVERYONE. There was not a crumb left in the bowl. Had a lot of the gals ask me for the recipe so I'm glad it was an easy one to remember. They really liked the addition of the Oreo cookies. Thanks Mr. Food!

Oh My Goodness!!! If any got on my forehead, my tongue would beat my brains out trying to get it!

I added a layer of crumbled double-stuff Oreo cookies to add texture
