Ham 'n' Cheese Strombolis
Share this on:
Ingredients
- 1 (11-ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
- Olive oil-flavored cooking spray
- 6 ounces diced ham (about 1-1/4 cups) (see Note)
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves
- 1 1/2
cups (5 ounces) shredded aged Provolone Italian cheese blend
- 1/2
teaspoon dried thyme
- Warm marinara sauce
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Unroll pizza dough onto a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; pat into an 11- x 14-inch rectangle. Cut dough into 4 (5-1/2- x 7-inch) rectangles.
-
Sprinkle rectangles evenly with ham, spinach, cheese, and thyme. Roll up dough jellyroll fashion starting at short side of each rectangle. Pinch seams to seal, but do not seal ends of rolls. Arrange rolls 4 inches apart on same baking sheet; coat tops with cooking spray.
-
Bake 10 minutes or until golden. Serve with marinara sauce.
Notes
This is a great way to use up any of that leftover baked ham. But no worries if there are no leftovers. Diced ham is readily available prepackaged in the supermarket meat department.
