The fast track to our feast can be a lot smoother with a few tasty tips! We're on the fast track to the biggest feast of the year, Thanksgiving, so what you need is a good plan of attack to help you de-stress before the doorbell rings. Here are some "Why didn't I think of that!?" ideas:
- Plan ahead -- set the table a few days ahead of time.
- On little sticky notes, mark down what's to go in each serving platter and place the notes in the platters. That way, you and your helpers will know just what to dish up and where to put it on the table.
- For last-minute cakes and pies, don't be afraid to use store-bought. You can dress these up with some whipped cream, maybe a drizzle of caramel sauce, nuts or confectioners' sugar, cocoa or cinnamon.
Don't worry so much about what's on the table -- this day is mostly about who is with us around the table. Gathering with family and friends should always be a reason to express our thanks after saying..."OOH IT'S SO GOOD!!"
