Pound Cake French Toast

Go ahead, and treat yourself! You know you deserve it! Dress up your Pound Cake French Toast with all kinds of toppings, from whipped cream to raspberry sauce, and watch breakfast become your favorite meal of the day.

Serves: 8

Cooking Time: 5 min

What You'll Need:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 16 (1/2-inch-thick) pound cake slices (see Note)
  • Raspberry Sauce
  • Whipped cream
What To Do:
  1. Stir together eggs and milk in a shallow dish.

  2. Dip pound cake slices in egg mixture, evenly coating both sides. Cook pound cake slices in batches in a lightly greased large nonstick skillet over medium heat 2-1/2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve with Raspberry Sauce and whipped cream.

Notes

Purchase a frozen loaf pound cake or pound cake from a bakery to save time. Or bake your favorite, and freeze it the weekend before. Thaw frozen cake at room temperature overnight.
