I add about a 1/3 cup of slice thin green onions right before I serve this dish and it does need grated cheese Great dish I also make this dish with mussels instead of clams

This recipe sounds good I was turned off when I read to sprinkle cheese on pasta at end. In my household we were taught not to put cheese on fish sauces. In Italy they shun when a patron asks for chees. Therefore I would never put cheese on my fish sauces. Only meat sauce gets the cheese.

If you aren't comfortable putting cheese on this dish, it's fine to leave it off. This recipe is very good with or without cheese.

Really? Don't put it on then! Good grief.
