Armenian Holiday Pilaf

Thought you could get this only in a restaurant or at an Armenian holiday table? Wait'll you see how easy and tasty this side dish can be. And it'll feed a whole gang! (The wide noodles are the "little bit different" here.) Amazing!! So much taste in so few ingredients.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 pound uncooked wide egg noodles
  • 1 stick butter
  • 5 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups uncooked rice (not instant rice)

What to Do

  1. In a large saucepan, brown the noodles in the butter. Add broth and rice and bring to a full boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.

  2. Makes 10 cups.


Notes

This is the greatest addition to any dinner? chicken, beef, turkey, anything!
