You know those meals that taste like perfection in every bite? Well, this Cheesy Pasta Bake is one of 'em! You can't miss with this!

What You'll Need

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 cups (16 ounces) shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 16 ounces rotini or penne pasta, cooked

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk, and cook 3 minutes or until thickened, whisking constantly.

  2. Add Cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper, whisking until cheese melts. Add pasta, tossing to coat.

  3. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 9- x 13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

Notes

For a quick centerpiece, line a basket with plastic wrap. Place container plants, such as gerbera daisies, marigolds, or African violets, in the basket. Fill in around the plants with Spanish moss. Voila! In a week or so, plant the flowers outdoors.

Centerpiece is a great idea. You could also use dried pasta or beans, glass beads, Easter basket grass, crayons, party favors, unfilled balloons, raffia, shredded paper, and a million other things. What a great idea!!!
