Here's homemade great taste but without all the fuss, 'cause it's all done in one pan! And the sausage gives it so much full flavor.
What You'll Need:
- 1 pound hot or sweet Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
- 1 can (14 ounces) whole tomatoes
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 pound narrow or medium egg noodles
What To Do:
In a large skillet, combine sausage, onion, and green pepper. Cook over medium heat until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain off pan drippings.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine tomatoes, sour cream, water, sugar, salt, and chili powder; stir into sausage mixture.
Gently stir in noodles. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes or until noodles are tender, stirring occasionally.
