Cool Tools for the Grill

There are lots of exciting grill go-alongs that make things easier for us, and a lot of fun, too!

  • First, there's the issue of safety. A hot grill is no place for bare hands...and that's where grilling mitts come in. The ones I think are the most practical are silicone mitts that fit our kitchens and our cookouts. They come in different colors and sizes and in regular and heavy-duty styles that can be worn on either hand. They feature a nonstick texture for a firm grip, and are heat-resistant to 500 degrees, so they're perfect for lifting hot items safely out of the oven or off the grill.

  • For turning our food on the grill, there's a clever alternative to traditional tongs, spatulas and cooking forks. It's called the pig-tail flipper because a quick flip of the wrist is all you need to turn food with ease. Its spiral "pig-tail" hook only lightly pierces the edge of the food, preventing those important juices from being lost.

  • For combining fun with a bit of practicality, personalize your steaks, chicken and pork with one or a variety of branding irons. There are loads of fun styles from collegiate team and NASCAR logos to patriotic ones and handy ones for branding everyone's steak according to how they want it cooked…rare, medium or well!

To sum up how all these helpers make us feel at the grill: Every one is an...“OOH IT’S SO GOOD!!”
