Honey Pecan Dressing

Yes sirree, you can round out any salad in no time with this sweet Honey Pecan Dressing.

Makes: 2 1/2 cups

Preparation Time: 5 min

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped sweet onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
Instructions
  1. Pulse first 6 ingredients in a blender 2 to 3 times until blended.
     
  2. With blender running, pour oil through food chute in a slow, steady stream; process until smooth. Stir in pecans. Use immediately, or store in the refrigerator up to a week.
Notes

Arrange cut fresh fruit or canned or frozen (thawed) fruit over lettuce leaves, and drizzle with this sweet and tangy dressing. Or serve the dressing over prepackaged salad greens.
