Company Stew is that little bit different 'cause it's light, quick, and smart. Wow, you're a cooking genius!

Serves: 4

Cooking Time: 1 hr

Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds dark meat turkey, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 envelope (from a 2-ounce box) onion soup mix
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; add turkey chunks and brown lightly.
     
  2. Add garlic and onion, and cook 4 to 5 more minutes.
     
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf before serving.

     
Note

Serve over hot cooked rice or noodles.
