Crunchy Baked Green Beans

Here's a 40-year-old favorite with a new turn. Reduced-fat soup adds the flavor we need. And water chestnuts now add the crunch.

Serves: 4

Cooking Time: 40 min

Ingredients
  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen green beans, thawed
  • 1 can (10¾ ounces) reduced-fat condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (8 ounces) sliced water chestnuts, drained
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

  2. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl; mix well. Spoon into a 7" x 11" baking dish that has been coated with nonstick vegetable spray. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the beans are tender and heated through.
Notes

For extra flavor accent, sprinkle a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.
