Mr. Food Test Kitchen Fans Love Stovetop Cooking

Fort Lauderdale, FL (November 4, 2013) — In a recent survey conducted by MrFood.com, 45.4% of readers declared their stovetop to be the one kitchen appliance they couldn't live without. The oven and microwave ranked second and third, respectively. One respondent commented about the difficulty in choosing between the devices, saying, "Sorry, but I can't name just one.  I use them all!!!" The survey was released to subscribers of the Mr. Food Test Kitchen Quick & Easy Everyday Cooking eNewsletter in October 2013.

 

The survey asked a variety of questions related to cooking and the MrFood.com website and eNewsletters. 82.5% of respondents enjoyed cooking dinner entrees while 62.1% loved making desserts. 66.0% of respondents also preferred recipes that could be cooked in 30 minutes or less and 57.7% typically cook for 1–2 people. Respondents also showed an interest in the Mr. Food Test Kitchen's related newsletters, including the Everyday Diabetic Recipes eNewsletter and the Mr. Food Test Kitchen Just Desserts eNewsletter. Compared to 2012, a higher percentage of Mr. Food Test Kitchen fans are now browsing the site using other platforms with the greatest increase coming in tablet use.
