Fort Lauderdale, FL (October 9, 2009) — Art Ginsburg, a.k.a. Mr. Food, host of the longest-running syndicated television food vignette, once again welcomes frequent guest and egg expert Howard Helmer to his set today, in celebration of World Egg Day. Saluting eggs is the purpose of World Egg Day, an international event which is commemorated annually on the second Friday of October.
Helmer, who gained notoriety as the World’s Fastest Omelet Maker and spokesperson for the American Egg Board, shares that this year “World Egg Day is being kicked off with America’s egg farmers donating more than 10 million eggs to the hungry as part of the Good Egg Project.”
Mr. Food and his test kitchen team developed four distinctively different international-themed recipes for hard-cooked Deviled Eggs that Mr. Food and Helmer will share with viewers on today's nationally syndicated Mr. Food TV segment.
