Sweet Last–Minute Valentine’s Day Tips
It’s not hard and it doesn’t have to cost a lot to create a romantic mood. Use your creativity to let your honey know how much you care. Start with these tips:
- Make a romantic indoor picnic with a blanket on the floor of your living or family room and eat finger foods.
- Use heart–shaped cookie cutters to make heart–shaped pancakes, sandwiches, cookies and/or other baked desserts.
- Serve red foods, maybe strawberries floating in champagne, tomato basil soup, pasta with tomato sauce, red velvet cake, etc.
- Dip berries in chocolate or serve chocolate fondue.
- Serve on red plates and/or decorate with rose petals and other red items.
- Don’t forget the candles! Aromas such as apple, cinnamon, clove, jasmine, lavender, orange, peppermint, rose, and vanilla are thought to stimulate feelings of love and companionship.
