| Plan Ahead for Cool Summer Meals!
Salads and other make–aheads are the answer to keeping cool at mealtime. Here are some tips:
1. When grilling chicken, steak, or fish, plan to cook up some extra for adding to wraps or green salads for lunch or dinner the next day. Then you’re cooking once for two meals!
2. Add fresh summer veggies and fruits to your salads to round out one–dish meals.
3. When cooking up pasta and potatoes for dinner, make extra so you have your base cooked and ready for cold salads.
4. Rather than baking or going out for ice cream, mix up homemade frozen and chilled desserts! |
