Cookie Crumbs

Often we find that when we get to the bottom of the bag of cookies or chips there are broken ones that are too good to throw away but too hard to eat. What can we do with them? Here are some answers!

Here are some great ways for these crumbs and pieces to have a glowing second life!
Cookie Crumbs:
Cookie Place broken cookies in a plastic bag, seal, and roll with a rolling pin or a soup can to crush everything to the same texture. It’s a perfect topping for ice cream and puddings.
Cookie Stir broken cookie pieces into slightly softened vanilla ice cream and make your own homemade Cookies and Cream ice cream. Mmm!
Cookie Stir chunks of broken cookies into a cake mix and bake the cake as directed. That’s the answer to those times when you can’t decide between cake and cookies!
Cookie Decorate your iced desserts by sprinkling cookie crumbs over the icing. It’s a super, fun look, plus the flavor is ooh la la!
Potato or Tortilla Chips:
Potato chip Sprinkle those broken or crushed chips on top of your favorite casserole before baking to give it an extra-special crunchy topping.
Potato chip Coarsely crush chips and use them as a flavorful breading for chicken or fish. Flavored chips are perfect for this!
Potato chip Place broken chips in a food processor and process until very fine. Then mix into meat loaf or stuffed mushrooms for extra excitement instead of traditional bread crumbs.
