Simmering Cider
Serve this old-fashioned warm mulled cider for any autumn get-together to take the chill off when the mercury drops! Don’t forget the cinnamon sticks for a classic presentation that’s sure to be a favorite!
Simmering Cider
About 2 quarts, 8 to 10 servings
1 container (1/2 gallon) apple cider
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 oranges, cut into 1/4-inch slices
2 lemons, cut into 1/4-inch slices
4 cinnamon sticks
  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer over low heat 30 minutes. Serve hot.
NOTE: I like to keep this in a slow cooker so it stays nice and hot for hours.
