The Burren Smokehouse is a family-run business that was formed in 1989 by Brigitta & Peter Curtin. They believe in starting with only the freshest ingredients and providing incredible customer service, and they make you feel like part of the family.
Brigitta and Peter carefully source quality raw materials for their Smoked Salmon, Trout, Mackerel, Eel and Cheese. They control their own quality standards with back-up of regular testing by independent laboratories and regular checks from organizations who certify them. The Smokehouse currently employs a staff of twelve, and ships within Ireland as well as to countries all over the world.
When you're in the western part of Ireland, do yourself a favor and stop in to say hello and sample their smoked fish and cheeses. You're in for a real treat!
