A swirl of cream cheese in the batter of our homemade Marbled Brownie Bars is the secret to these to-die-for brownies that you can take all the credit for baking yourself.

What You'll Need:
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (21-ounce) package brownie mix, batter prepared according to package directions
What To Do:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, with an electric beater on medium speed, combine cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla until fluffy.

  3. Spread half the brownie batter into prepared baking dish. Spoon cream cheese mixture over batter then top with remaining half of the batter. Using a table knife, cut through the batter, swirling to create a marbled effect.

  4. Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Allow to cool then cut into bars and serve, or cover and chill until ready to serve.

Half cheesecake, half brownie--does it get much better?

I used to make a form of these brownies, when I was away at college, using Betty Crocker's Cake and Frosting batters and they were the best! I've tried other methods to come up with the same thing (or close to the same) since Betty Crocker quit making the necessary mixes and have been unable to do so. I recently discovered your web page and then your recipe which tastes just like my good old cream cheese brownies. I'm so happy, happy, happy! Thanks to you and your efforts.

Everyone that I make these for and has tried them loves them!

I will be making two batches of these fantastic brownies. One for my home and one for a fund raiser for the VFW Bake Sale.

Looks yummy, probably tastes extra yummy, but my, oh, my, all those calories!! Maybe will try for a special occasion, and cut into very small pieces.

Auntie M I use fat free cream cheese and they are just as good and no one knows the difference..:)

These are great. I put walnuts in this recipe too. I sometimes put this in a cupcake pan and add a Hershey kiss on top. Awesome!!!!

I am going to Try These Out On My Co-Workers Cause They Look YUMMY!!!! Thanks For Your Great Recipes
