It's a fun summertime recipe that will make you feel like you're at a tropical resort.

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 cup finely crushed pretzels

  • 2 drops red food color
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries

What to Do

  1. In a medium bowl, combine pretzels and butter; mix well. Press mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate, forming a crust. Chill at least 1 hour.
  2. In another medium bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, margarita mix, and food color until well blended. Gently fold in whipped topping and strawberries until well combined.
  3. Pour into pretzel pie crust and freeze at least 4 hours, or until firm. Serve or cover and keep frozen until ready to enjoy.

This looks EXCELLENT. Thank you!

How would this work with pineapple?

Hi Joyce! This recipe will work great with pineapple. Just made sure that the pineapple is dry, since you don't want any extra liquid to water down the pie. Enjoy!

Margarita mix doesn't contain alcohol that is added by the mixologist. The pretzel crust adds just the right amount of salt to counter-balance the sweetness of the strawberry's delicious!

My husband doesn't drink and I'm afraid the margarita mix may have alcohol. Does it? Thanks

There is no alcohol in the "mix". It has to be added.

sound delicious, but I think it would be better with graham crackers instead of pretzels
