What You'll Need:
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups coarsely grated apples
- 1 (9-inch) deep dish pie crust
What To Do:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the eggs, butter, and vanilla extract, then fold in the apples.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust and bake for 10 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 350 degrees F. and bake for 60 to 65 minutes more or until golden on top.
Cool completely and serve.
