Holiday main dish? At Thanksgiving we serve turkey; at Christmas we usually eat a Swedish meal with potato sausage as the main dish.

One our favorite Christmas holiday main meal is a type of Shepard Pie, that my mom made. I learned to make it and now my son has learned to make it. So the tradition of this meal will continue. Our main meal for Thanksgiving holiday is turkey and for the New Years Day it is ham.

I have been following his receipts every since, and when you took over, I follow all your receipts. I have tried quite a few, but all are fantastic. I like the herb roasted potatoes and pork loan. We like turkey the best. There are lots of things to do with it after the first meal. But we also have a vegan daughter-in-law, so I try to make something different for a main dish for her too. Last year it was a dish with tofu and tater tots. I found out you can make a gravy using vegetable broth. She really appreciated the effort too.
