      Fav cake is Manhattan Lemon Pound Cake. My cousin gave me the recipe at least 30 years about! Loved it then and now.

    I was raised in my grandparents home and the family favorite cake was banana cake. It is not what you think-it is white cake with powdered sugar icing and sliced bananas on top. It was and still is my favorite birthday cake.

    Red Velvet, but not one of the nasty mix ones and definitely NOT with cream cheese frosting. The traditional recipe with the traditional frosting from the Waldorf Astoria!

    I am always looking for recipes and changing them to meet the picky eating styles of my family. My three women all like chocolate, so anything chocolate is good for us. I like this Jingle Bell Torte recipe. I will be making that for the holidays for extended family when we get together. I may have to make one or two in advance just for tasting quality control. LOL

    In our family, it’s tradition to have pineapple upside-down cake decorated with maraschino cherries. I keep that tradition going as much as I can. Mainly because, that’s my favorite cake.

    My favorite cake to make at any holiday, but especially Christmas is a Ding Dong cake!! It’s rich in flavor, but it’s not a “heavy” cake. Everyone loves it!!

    I am very partial to German Chocolate cake…..frosting and all 😉 but truth be told, even though most ppl really dislike it, my absolute favorite is Carrot Cake 😉
