Chicken. Beef. Pork. Most of us are used to eating the same kinds of protein at every meal. And while there’s a ton of ways you can cook up the three big players without ever getting bored, there’s always room for even more variety.
We’re talking fish.
Have you ever walked by the seafood department of your local grocery store and checked out the wide variety of fish and shellfish they’ve got? Even better, have you ever dreamed of cooking a flavorful fish, but backed out because you thought it might be too hard to do so? If this is you, then we’ve got good news! Our latest free eCookbook, Gone Fishin’: 45 Easy Fish Recipes for Salmon, Tuna, Shellfish, & More! features a great collection of easy recipes for some of the most popular fish and shellfish.
Looking to impress company? You’ll be happy to know we’ve included some real company-fancy showstoppers, like our Crabmeat Stuffed Salmon and Garlic Shrimp and Spinach.
(If they start calling for a waiter you might have to remind them that they’re not in a restaurant.)
But not every fish entrée has to be an elegant affair. Sometimes, we just want a change-of-pace meal that also meets our quick weeknight dinner needs. That’s when our classic recipes for Mom’s Tuna Noodle Casserole and Southern Fish and Chips come in handy. After all, there’s nothing like a creamy, homemade casserole and crispy, fried fish.
(If bellies could smile, we bet they’d be smiling after one bite of these mouthwatering fish recipes!)
If it’s shellfish you’re after, then you’ll be pleased to find recipes like our Creamy Scallops. You might think this is an adults-only kind of dish, but we’ve found that kids love this buttery and creamy version almost as much as the adults do! Serve over a plate of warm rice or pasta, and you’ll have a dish that’s a winner with everyone.
From salmon to catfish, and crab to clams, our free eCookbook, Gone Fishin’: 45 Easy Fish Recipes for Salmon, Tuna, Shellfish, & More! has something for everyone. We bet you won’t ever walk past the seafood department again! Just take a sneak peek at what we’ve got in store below.

We LOVE clam bakes! Never tried the cedar planks! Would love to try them with some salmon… 🙂 Thanks for the chance.
Love your recipes!
I wish Canada was included in this contest. I’ve been following this site since I was diagnosed type 2 about 6 weeks ago. I find these recipes helpful as I adjust to my new lifestyle.
Little olive oil, lemon, salt & pepper placed on fish wrapped up in tin foil and placed on the grill to cook to perfection. I love your recipes. I have prepared many throughout the years. Thank you.
I love grilling fish & shrimp, but I have never tried cedar planks. I’ve seen them used on TV, so I know how to soak them. I would love the chance to try a few cedar plank recipes at home.
I really enjoy the recipes and your staff. I cook at a fishing (salmon) lodge in Alaska and these would be great to use for our guests catches.
I love seafood…and grilled is my favorite way to prepare it!
I spend my summers in Manistee, Michigan where I go salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. I make deep-fried “salmon nuggets” using the secret campground batter recipe…yum! I’ve enjoyed cedar plank salmon in Alaska, but I’ve never made it myself.
Best salmon I ever ate was at an Alaskan salmon bake. It was grilled over an open fire and brushed with a maple glaze. Wonderful!
Would love to try the plank grilling! We go fishing & eat fish at least once a week!
I love grilling. This would be great to have to use and get my kids to eat healthier!!
Great recipes.
My husband and I love Broiled Scallops with a cracker crumb topping.
Love fresh caught walleye my son catches, he shares it with family and friends.
Bread crumbs, pan fry is the way we like ours cooked!
MF….thank you so much for the Garlic Shrimp and Spinach recipe!!! Love it!! It is so easy to make!!
I love fresh fish salmon, walleye, pike, bass prepared all different ways. But at the campsite using panko breadcrumbs and fried has become a yearly tradition for our family.
Salmon cooked in a Dill butter sauce. I also love Clams Oregano. Ceviche is the best. It is so refreshing in the summer time
love making salmon on the grill so this would be great.
