There’s something about a grill heating up that makes me hungry. Maybe it’s the sound of wood crackling or the smell of food cooking that reminds me of growing up. And thinking about some of my favorites, like steak and chicken, being cooked on the grill always makes my mouth water. I’m a big fan of Brazilian churrascaria recipes and using a good ‘ol Carolina barbecue sauce to top all of my grilled meats too. I just can’t get enough of that rich mustardy flavor.
As you know, I love getting together with friends, and in the summer that means firing up the grill and eating good food. In the spirit of grilling season, I’m sharing some of my favorite mouthwatering grilling recipes that we’ve got on MrFood.com. With these easy barbecue main dishes, your taste buds are in for a treat. I know that I’ll be making many of them this summer, including some homemade barbecue sauces, because they’re simply irresistible!
By the way, make sure you read on because the Mr. Food Test Kitchen has a giveaway you’re going to love if you’re a grill fan like me.
It seems that when mom would make steak, she always did it in the oven, but when dad was given command of the kitchen, he would always leave it for the grill. I say that a perfectly grilled steak includes a flavorful marinade and that fresh-from-the-grill taste that you get when it has a couple of perfectly charred spots on the outside. Check out these very different but equally tasty ways of making steak so that for your next cookout—not that you need an excuse to fire up the grill—everyone will be asking for your not-so-secret recipe.

It’s just not a barbecue if there aren’t ribs! Did you ever notice that no matter what kind of ribs are served, everyone will take a couple of them like they’re a side dish? With so many different ways to season ribs and sauce them up, it’s no wonder that so many different states have their own way of making them. For some people it’s all about the dry rub while for others it’s the sauce that makes the ribs a complete dish. No matter how you like to chow down, these recipes are going to send everyone back for another “side.” I’ve also included a couple of other grilled pork recipes that aren’t ribs, but are just as tasty for anyone who likes to keep their hands clean.

Sure you can cook chicken on a pan in your kitchen, but what better way to bring out its rich and juicy flavors than on a grill? I’m talking about the many different ways that chicken can transform from ordinary to extraordinary. Our Beer Can Chicken does just that because the steam from a can of beer flavors the chicken from the inside out. Impress your guests (and maybe even yourself!) when you serve these tasty and not-so-average grilled chicken recipes at your next get-together.

The warm summer weather takes me to a sunny seaside town where there are unlimited amounts of freshly caught fish and other seafood. These recipes may not buy me a ticket to a tropical vacation, but they sure taste just as good. Freshly grilled fish can be prepared in many different ways, from simple seasonings to brown-sugar marinades. Add them to your menu and have a surf ‘n’ turf party!

Good hosts always make sure that there is plenty of food for everyone at their party. That’s why I made sure to include some grilled vegetarian recipes as well. Even if there aren’t going to be any vegetarians at your party, these main dishes are worth checking out because they’re great go-alongs. Grilled veggies are some of the best kind because they’re taken to a whole new level of delicious since the heat of the grill creates even more mouthwatering flavors.

My favorite is his smoked rack of St. Louis ribs and corn on the cob. He has an electric smoker, brines the ribs the night before, uses a dry rub and refrigerates overnight. We have even smoked the corn and macaroni and cheese. OMG! I am spoiled to his outdoor cooking!
Haha! It sounds like you’ve got it good. 🙂
Chicken in Good seasons marinade.
I love chicken and when it has been marinated with a lemon dill. I am open to other goodies.
Burgers and steaks!!!
Okay, so those orange chicken packets look amazing. Has anyone tried these, before I run out to buy the ingredients and try it myself?
I love chicken that has been marinated and then grilled to perfection.
Oh, me too! 🙂
