Have you ever wanted a brownie, just one brownie? I don’t mean one brownie cut from an entire pan, I mean one, singular brownie. I do just about every night, but I live alone and I won’t make an entire batch just for myself. See, if I made an entire pan of brownies, I’d eat every single one. I’m not saying I’d eat them all in one night, but with no one there to watch, I’d definitely eat them way faster than I should! Like I said in my last post, I’m trying to eat “good,” so I really can’t be devouring 12 brownies, but one… yeah, just one, I can do that. So when I made this Chocolate Mug Brownie, I flipped- because it’s perfect!
It was incredibly easy to make, only requiring a little measuring and stirring. Luckily I already had all the ingredients in my pantry, which was a huge plus since the grocery store was closed (you could say this recipe saved my life that night!). And I’ll take any excuse to use my favorite mug. 🙂
I had never used my microwave for anything other than heating up leftovers, so I was pleasantly surprised when a chocolaty, dense cake cooked up. My favorite part was its warm center. The instructions mentioned that the center should be slightly molten, and it was. It was rich, gooey, and awesome. Everything I love about fresh-out-of-the-oven brownies, except I got it all in less than 3 minutes. In fact, it left such an impression on my taste buds that I made another. Only the second time I scooped the brownie from its mug and ate it with a little strawberry ice cream. Yum! Be sure to visit mrfood.com for the full recipe.

It also has me wondering…
