There’s a joke about rice that always makes me laugh. It’s by the late comedian Mitch Hedberg and it goes:
“Rice is great if you’re really hungry and want to eat two thousand of something.”
Rice is eaten by people all over the world. It’s eaten in practically every way you can think of: hot, cold, sweet, savory, as part of a main dish, as a side dish, in dessert, etc. Depending on where you’re from, and what customs you grew up with, rice can even be a staple part of your diet. As a Cuban-American, I can tell you that I grew up eating a lot of rice. There were no family dinners or friendly get-togethers that didn’t involve rice in some form or another.
So, as an avid rice eater I’m proud to say that the latest free eCookbook from the Mr. Food Test Kitchen is all about….RICE!
According to the Rice Association in London there are about 40,000 varieties of cultivated rice, which is a whole lot of different kinds of rice! Thankfully, most of us everyday cooks mainly use a couple different varieties, including long-grain white or brown rice. Since that’s the case our free eCookbook, Red Carpet Rice Dishes: 28 Easy Rice Recipes for Everyone, includes both white rice recipes and brown rice recipes with just a couple of other rice varieties mixed in.
If you’re tired of serving the same old side dishes to your family, then you’re going to love this free eCookbook. We’ve got 28 ways to make rice tasty and unique, including easy rice recipes like Rice Balls and Anytime Fried Rice. Your family will be pretty impressed at what you’ve cooked up for them! I know that if I saw homemade fried rice on the table I’d be super excited. I love fried rice!
When we say “easy rice recipes for everyone” we mean it!
