Buttermilk Dip

Our holiday buffets might be packed with all sorts of fancy goodies, but one of the most popular choices will still be the fresh veggies and dip. Served in a hollowed-out loaf of bread, it'll look as special as everything else on the table!

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

What to Do

  1. In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients together until well combined.
     
  2. Serve, or cover and chill until ready to serve.

Notes

For a special Christmas treat, how about decorating a Styrofoam cone by covering it with assorted vegetables stuck on toothpicks, then filling in with parsley? Then you'll have a colorful, festive display of veggie dippers for your party dips.
