Rigatoni Toss

A tasty, meaty meal has never been easier than it is with Rigatoni Toss. This dish is an easy weeknight favorite that the kids will love.

What You'll Need

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 1/2 pound rigatoni pasta

What to Do

  1. In a soup pot, brown beef over medium-high heat, stirring to break up the meat. Drain excess liquid and add bell pepper, carrots, onion, and garlic. Cook 4 to 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
     
  2. Add remaining ingredients except rigatoni; mix well, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to marry, stirring occasionally.
     
  3. Meanwhile, cook rigatoni according to package directions; drain. Toss rigatoni with sauce, and serve.
