Buttery and so delicious, these Quick Whipping Cream Biscuits will knock your socks off! Don't just take our word for it... you've gotta give it a try for yourself!

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 to 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

What to Do

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut 1/2 cup butter into flour with a pastry blender or fork until crumbly. Add whipping cream, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.

  2. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 3 or 4 times. Roll or pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-inch round cutter; place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet.

  3. Bake 13 to 15 minutes. Brush biscuits with 1/4 cup melted butter.

Notes

If you'd rather not bother with a rolling pin, you can pat the dough with your fingers onto a floured surface to about 3/4-inch thickness. To keep the dough from sticking to your biscuit cutter, just dip the cutter in flour.
