If you're looking for a chicken dinner recipe that'll wow your family and friends, then our recipe for Parmesan-Baked Chicken Breasts will certainly put smiles on their faces.

What You'll Need

  • 1/3 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs (store-bought)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 (6-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 cup fire-roasted tomato-and-garlic pasta sauce, warmed

What to Do

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Heat a large baking sheet in oven for 5 minutes.

  2. Combine first 3 ingredients in a shallow dish.

  3. Place garlic and olive oil in a small microwave-safe glass bowl, and microwave at HIGH 30 seconds or until warm and fragrant.

  4. Dip chicken in garlic oil; dredge in breadcrumb mixture. Coat preheated baking sheet with cooking spray, and place chicken on baking sheet. Coat chicken with cooking spray. Bake 25 minutes or until golden and done. Serve with pasta sauce.

Notes

  • Preheating the baking sheet before baking the chicken makes the Parmesan coating especially crispy. Also, briefly heating the garlic in olive oil intensifies the garlic's flavor.
