Icy Homemade Lemonade

A down-home thirst-quencher that's as easy as 1,2,3!

What You'll Need

  • 6 cup cold water
  • 4 to 5 fresh lemons (depending on size)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 ice cubes

What to Do

  1. Pour the cold water into a gallon jar or a large pitcher.

  2. Cut each lemon in half, squeeze the juice into the water, and add the lemon halves. Gradually add the sugar and stir until dissolved.

  3. Add the ice and serve.

Notes

I like to use extra-fine sugar in place of granulated sugar because it dissolves quicker. And you could simply make limeade by substituting 6 to 7 limes in place of lemons.
