Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Good for after-school or anytime snacks, sweet, down-home comfort is baked right into these kid-pleasing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. They'll thank you when you bring out a fresh plate of these!

What You'll Need

  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 stick butter, softened
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cup quick oats, uncooked
  • 1 cup raisins

What to Do

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
     
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. In a large bowl, with an electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
     
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to wire rack to cool completely.
