Health Salad

Most of the time, when we hear the word "health" in a recipe title we chuckle and wonder just how good it could really be, right? But sometimes we're really surprised at the wonderful taste of certain food combinations. Try this surprise!

What You'll Need

  • 1 small head purple cabbage, shredded (about 8 cups)
  • 3 or 4 apples, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon dried dillweed or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

What to Do

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients.

Notes

Let stand in refrigerator for at least 2 hours to "marry" the flavors. (Overnight is best!) Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
