Here's a Very Fancy Fish that's fast yet company special. Try it out and see how the flavorful seasonings dress up sole, haddock or cod and make them a stand-out.

What You'll Need

  • 4 to 6 medium-sized fish fillets (sole, haddock, or cod)
  • 1 cup mild barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup finely minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoon dry red wine

What to Do

  1. Fry, broil, or bake fish fillets until done; set aside.

  2. Place remaining ingredients in a saucepan and mix well; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more to blend the flavors. Place sauce on a platter and arrange cooked fish on top of it. Serve warm.
